Nearly 90 years ago, Josef Tremel set up his carpentry workshop in the small village of Schwürbitz, laying the foundation for a deep-rooted passion for fine woods and precision craftsmanship. That passion got passed down through the family—first to his son and then to the next generation. Growing up surrounded by wood shavings and building his own creations, it was only natural to follow the same path. By 1992, the skills were dialed in, and the master craftsman’s certificate made it official.

The mission behind each build is to fuse years of playing experience, deep tonewood knowledge, and masterful craftsmanship to create basses that embody the perfect balance of tone, feel, and aesthetics.
