This results in instruments that easily rival the build-quality, playability and sound of mass produced US/EU basses, but at a way more affordable price level. Bass Mods is not that well known in Europe yet, but has picked up massive popularity in the US. Especially in the Gospel, R’n’B and Pop scene where bass heavyweights such as Ethan Farmer, Maurice Fitzgerald, Will Birchhead and Nathaniel Kearney Jr. are all playing Bass Mods.

This gorgeous Bass Mods K534 features a swamp ash body, maple fingerboard and neck, and comes equipped with Bass Mods own REJ5 Rare Earth pickups. The REJ5 Pickups use Neodymium magnets, which results in way more output than normal alnico/ferrite pickups due to the stronger magnetic field. On top of that the REJ5s are Split Coil hum-cancelling pickups, which means that not only do they sound great, they are also super quiet. All of this adds up to a super solid bass with a powerful and punchy tone. In other words, a bass where you can really dig in!

The preamp is Bass Mods’ own lightweight and full-featured 34AP-PB preamp.
