Marleaux is a bass company located in Germany and founded by Gerald Marleaux.

Marleaux has been building basses since 1990, and his unparalleled passion for quality and attention to detail has led to him being acknowledged as one of the greatest builders currently around.

Gerald hand-picks the wood in the local area around his workshop and treats the woods like a true artisan. Time and attention is put into proper storage, treatment and drying of the woods so their inherent sonic characteristics and qualities shine through uncompromised.

This Consat Custom bass is one of the more aggressive of the Marleaux basses we have in the shop. Even though it might bite the head of your band member or audience it can also be soft and gentle. It’s in your face but without compromising the depth and natural richness that you’ve come to expect of a Marleaux bass.

This beautiful body is made of mahogany and sports a quilted macore top. Its ebony fingerboard will supply you with a very fast response as well as a vibrant and singing sustain.

The neck is all maple and is bolted with six screws to the body.

It comes with Delanos quad coil hum-cancelling humbucker pickups, which are the perfect match for this bass. The Preamp is a Marleaux EQ BC3, dialed in perfectly for the Consat 5, with a 3-band active EQ sporting Bass, Mid and Treble controls.

This is a fantastic modern bass with an attack that is always present. Now combine that with its incredibly focused mids, sparkling bright high-end and tight low-end and you have one heck of a serious contender on the pro bass scene. Whoever picks this one up will get a sonic soulmate for life!
